  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talking therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings and behaviours are connected. It helps you recognise and change unhelpful thoughts, improving how you feel and helping you handle challenges in a more balanced way.

  • CBT might be right for you if you're looking to change negative thought patterns and behaviours that impact your daily life. It's especially effective for anxiety, depression, and stress management. To explore if CBT suits your needs, book a free consultation.

  • CBT is a proven and reliable treatment for mental health issues like depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD and more. It helps people reduce symptoms and improve daily life. Studies show that about 60-80% of patients get much better after CBT, and these improvements often last. Its clear, goal-focused method with measurable results makes CBT a popular and effective option for both therapists and patients.

  • The first session is an assessment. We’ll discuss your goals, current challenges, and relevant history. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions, and we’ll decide together a CBT-based treatment plan.

  • CBT is usually time-limited, often between 6 and 20 sessions, depending on your needs and goals. We’ll review progress regularly to make sure therapy is working for you.

  • CBT is more structured and focuses on the “here and now” rather than exploring your entire life history. It’s a collaborative process with practical exercises you can use between sessions.

  • Yes. Sessions can be held in-person or securely online, so you can choose what works best for your schedule and comfort.

  • Based in Central London at Token House, 11-12 Tokenhouse Yard, EC2R 7AS on Monday/Tuesdays.

  • Yes. I offer in-person evening appointments from 5pm on Mondays, and online appointments between 5pm and 7pm on other weekdays, with some flexibility to suit your schedule.

  • Yes. Your privacy is very important. What we discuss in therapy stays between us, with exceptions if there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law. I’ll explain these limits clearly before we start.

  • My current fee for CBT is £90 per 50-minute session. I’ll discuss costs with you before your first appointment so there are no surprises. Some clients may be eligible for reduced rates - please feel free to ask.

  • In CBT, you may be given practical exercises or reflections to do between sessions. These help you apply what we discuss in real life and speed up progress.
